Approach
We conducted 8 IDIs with vets across the UK, France and Italy to understand how the industry, and its subsequent issues, varies across Europe. We began conversations by listening to what stresses come up each day and how they currently deal with them. We then explored various potential routes that our client could use to help vets get mental health support and feel recognized.
We found that pet owners’ unawareness of the work vets do, and the unloading of emotions they put on to vets causes vets a huge amount of stress and a feeling of being misunderstood. After all, vets are incredibly empathetic people. It’s a almost a job requirement.
